3CL Quarter-Finals: 1st Legs

CONCAFA Champions League | 2017-18

The four first leg games of the quarter-finals have been played.

Nova Porto took control of their first leg tie with Independiente, scoring twice in each half, for a 4-0 romp at home. Diego Martinez, Lieira and a brace from Césaro took the game away from the visiting Aguadorians.

New Jorg United conceded an away goal in their game with Giapoli, but carry a 3-1 lead going into the return game. Goals from Sasa Lucic, Michael Odonkwa and Peter Aguba will help United’s confidence.

Real Mardis overcame an early goal away to Rosano Centrale to win 2-1.  Motolese’s opener was cancelled out by Nelinho. Carlos Suárez scored the winner late in the second half.

Juvenese and Angel know each other very well, playing the fifth game in two seasons between the two. Estevez’s opener was doubled by Sandro Lopes early in the second half.  Angel were held a lifeline late in the game, when Roberto De Melo was tripped inside the penalty area by Bieberbach. Alex van der Kamp converted the spot-kick. It’s all to play for at Angel Stadium next week!
