Eboria took a big step towards progressing out of the group of the IC3 for the first time ever by beating Australia 2-0 in Seville. Goals from Jake Carter and a thumper from Roman Baric got the Eborians past the Aussies. They had an early scare as Australia were awarded a penalty from a careless Myers tackle after 19 minutes. Reserve Goalkeeper Harry Ferguson saved Myers’ blushes with a fantastic save from the spot. As the game wore on, Eboria grew more confident and took the lead through Jake Carter’s glancing header. Early in the second half, Roman Baric smashed through a second, from a tight angle to beat goalie Mat Ryan.

With four points from two games, it all comes down to the final match against the reigning WEFA World Champions- the Netherlands. The Dutch drew 2-2 with Spain, so Eboira and Holland have four points each and Spain only have two. Australia were eliminated with this loss. Will the hosts go out early? The World Champions? Or will it be the Eborians missing out. Destiny awaits.

Eboria : Ferguson, Buckhalter, Ayandele (C), Cooper, Myers (sub Givens) , Mills, Harrison, Murphy (sub Langford), Carter, Marshall, Baric (sub Thomas).
