Adelphia hit Victoria for six and regain lead

ESL Round-up | Round 32

With two games left to play, there is a three-way tie for first- all on 69 points. Angel are now on 67 points. At the bottom it is too close to call, with Pottsburgh and Carlton losing at home, whilst Harteford ensured top-flight football for next season with their win against already condemned Hillsborough.

ADELPHIA ARSENAL 6-0 VICTORIA AC

Adelphia’s complete team performance versus the table-dwellers confirmed Victoria’s relegation and put Adelphia Arsenal back on top of the table on goal difference this evening.

Captain Jerome Mowabé started off the scoring on 21 minutes, seizing on a loose pass and storming through the box and finishing with a thunderous shot. Henry Thomas and Diego Martinez also struck in the first half. Victoria never managed a shot on target in the game, never breaking through the Adelphia line. Jordan Wilcox, Eddie James and Andre Cooper all scored in the final fifteen minutes to complete things and improve the Arsenal’s goal difference.

ALFA 1-1 AMORGAN CELTIC

ALFA again dropped points at home in their quest for the championship. Amorgan set-out with two lines of four and rarely threatened in the first hour. ALFA finally broke through in the 52nd minute when Danny Marshall set up Abou Diarra on the edge of the area. The visitors clawed back the deficit with nine minutes left, when ALFA failed to clear a cross and Eduardo pounced on the opportunity.

CARLTON 1-3 ANGEL FC

Angel kept up their title push with an easy win away to struggling Carlton. Giovanni scored two and Felipé got a third. This match was never really in any doubt.

OAKLAND FOREST 0-1 NEW JORG UNITED

New Jorg left it late to claim all three points away to Oakland. Super sub Andre Williams flicked the ball in following good work from Odonkwa and Carter on the edge of the box.
