Copa Eboria | CEFA Challenge Cup 2016-17
ELVERPOOL 3-2 SEAFAX STRIKERS (AET)
Elverpool booked their place in the final, following a last-minute winner from Aaron Johnson. Seafax, playing in their first semi-final ever, had been three minutes from winning 2-1 in normal time. Elverpool saved themselves with a late header from Brazilian Emerson Dosa following good work from compatriot Dani Basso. Seafax had twice led, with goals from Ratovic and Keys. The first goal had been cancelled out just before half-time, with a Scott Bradshaw header from a Blake Solo free kick.
AMORGAN CELTIC 3-1 NEW JORG UNITED (AET)
Amorgan strick twice in extra-time against a ten man United side. Goals from Eduardo and Ellis left the New Jorg side reeling. Coach Chris Miller was fuming after captain Johan Korsten had been sent-off in normal time. United had taken the lead from the penalty-spot, following Warner’s challenge on Carter. Ameche converted from the spot.
Eduardo had equalised to take the gem into the extra-priod, before the United skipper lunged in on Camara. Having already been booked, it was a reckless decision for Korsten to go in like that.
Elverpool and Amorgan Celtic will compete for the Copa Eboria in the Final on May 20th.
