ADELPHIA ARSENAL vs MELBORG | Sunday December 4, 2016
This is a crunch game for both teams- a win for Adelphia and they are on top and looking dangerously good for this time of year, a win for Melborg keeps them in the hunt for the CCL places, possibly a championship run (there’s still another 18 games to go!).
Adelphia will have home advantage, but Melborg are good on their travels and JPL will not lose any sleep about being in the away dugout. If the travelling side can keep it tight, keep things close and get the ball enough times to Matt Murphy to set-up van Boschkamp- who knows. Will the extra games in the CONCAFA Champions League catch up with Adelphia? Have they rested enough? I think the manager Frank Lebeau has got the rotations spot on, so I think they will be able to battle through. With Thomas and Martinez in form, with Velasquez chomping at the bit on the bench (he needs to see more action, imo) there’s a few goals to be had against this somewhat suspect Melborg defensive pairing..
DF- Ayandele, Robinson, Cooper, Givens
MF- Mowabe(c), James, Cesar, Mora
FW- Thomas, Martinez
DF- Aguba, Brown, Silva, Rodgers
MF- Walker, O’Reilly(c), Rodriguez, Adebadejo, Murphy
FW- van Boschkamp
Prediction: 2-1, Adelphia – late winner.
