Month: December 2016
The Transfer of Oakland Forest’s dynamic midfielder Sol Harrison to Melborg will officially be completed on January 2nd. Harrison had said goodbye to his team-mates over the Christmas period, when they competed in the Christmas Soccer Sixes tournament.
The transfer fee is believed to be around
ß15m (approx $10m) and as normal in the ESL, is paid by cash transfer up-front.
Harrison will be registered immediately (Jan 3rd ) and ready to play in their Copa Eboria cup tie.
Reports coming in suggest that both Elverpool and Melborg have made contact with Latanian champions Juvenese over the sale of the Anderlander striker. Both are said to have made bids that have interested the Latanian and CONCAFA Champions. Mulder has only started five league games this season, although he did show in the Super Cup against Madrid.
Juvenese are looking at their options as the player want to play every game and is not getting that opportunity. The team may deem him to important to let go at this stage- with a repeat of the treble (domestic league and cup and CONCAFA Champions League) on the cards- he will have a part to play.
2016 featured some great individual and team play. There were some individual efforts that really made a difference in 2016. We’ve excluded the play in internationals, so Roman Baric’s supreme summer doesn’t count here (sorry, but that’s the way it is!)

The ESL has seen some great teams in 2016, from Olympians supreme run-away with the 2015-16 ESL, Angel FC being almost as dominant, Adelphia’s cup runs and start to 2016-17. Congratulations to the Adelphia Arsenal, winter champs 2016. The big question is going to be can they hold on to their lead- or who will displace them?
The transfer window beckons, there will be deals. Who will improve the most… and will it be enough? Only time will tell.
And so the winter break cometh. Round 17 saw the 2016 finale of ESL action.
ADELPHIA ARSENAL 2
(Martinez 41, 57)
Adelphia Arsenal maintained their lead at the top of the ESL with a fine display against title-contenders Elverpool. Elverpool haven’t won in five games now and there needs to be a regrouping over the winter break. Diego Martinez opened the scoring, heading in from Bartowski’s corner kick. Twelve minutes after the restart, he doubled the lead with a superb one-two with Henry Thomas. Continue reading “Ending in style! Adelphia vs Elverpool”
The last round of matches in underway, as the half-way point and Winter-break are reached. It is so tight at the top, there could be five teams walking away with the Winter Champions crown.
Elverpool travel to Adelphia tomorrow, so that’s one contender out! If results go their way- Angel, ALFA or New Jorg could go top. There’s no prize, of course. It always seems to help, with the majority of Winter kings maintaining their lead until the end.
So come on ESLers, what have your team got?
